Giving Back
“The act of giving without the expectation of something in return is the true definition of kindness”
Every month the team at Future Fitouts makes a difference to others and our planet when and where we can on both business and personal levels! – The gift of giving and the small things can make a big difference!
We love to give back and help others! From partnering with small business’s helping them grow; supporting local charities; participating in community fundraisers and events; sharing cool ideas that other companies are doing to make a difference in the world or just doing our small part to give back where we can!
B1G1 – Business for Good
At Future Fitouts we have been getting involved in the B1G1 Business for Good initiative that helps businesses give back and change the world around them. As part of this initiative funds from our projects have been going towards Rainforest protection, providing meals for rescued animals and providing bricks to build classrooms in Kenya.

Who Gives a Crap
We think toilets are pretty funny, but we started Who Gives A Crap when we learned that 2.3 billion people (roughly 40% of the world’s population) don’t have access to a toilet. Unfortunately that’s not very funny. Around 289,000 children under five die every year from diarrheal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. That's almost 800 children per day, or one child every two minutes.
Our partners to the rescue!
To do our part, we donate half of our profits to non-profit organizations working to improve access to hygiene, water and basic sanitation in developing countries. We’ve donated to WaterAid Australia, Sanergy, Shining Hope For Communities and Lwala Community Alliance — incredible organisations with deep experience and skill in implementing high impact sanitation projects throughout the developing world. To date, we’ve donated just over $2.6m Aussie dollars (that’s the equivalent of just over US $1,900,000!) which is enough to help tens of thousands of people in need, and we’re just getting started!
thankyou
We always have and always will exist 100% for ending the effects of global poverty.
WE CAN END GLOBAL POVERTY IN THIS LIFETIME BY MAKING BETTER CONSUMER CHOICES, TOGETHER.
Thankyou Water was born in 2008 in response to the world water crisis. At that time, over 900 million people didn’t have access to safe drinking water on a daily basis, yet the Australian bottled water industry was worth an estimated $600 million a year. Pretty wild given Aussies can access safe water straight from the tap!
Our co-founder Daniel Flynn asked himself, “What if purchasing a bottle of water here in Australia could help provide water for people in need?”

MATES in Construction
MATES in Construction is a charity established in 2008 by the construction industry to reduce the high level of suicide among Australian construction workers.
The MATES Program now operates in the construction, mining and energy industries and provides mental health awareness and suicide prevention programs in Queensland, New South Wales, Western Australia and South Australia.
MATES is here to support the construction, mining and energy industries.
However, we can only do this with your support.
Each day EIGHT Australians die by suicide.
Six of those eight are men. Men working in blue-collar occupations are of the highest risk of suicide.
This is why we need to work together to change this statistic – every suicide is one suicide too many.
Alannah and Madeline Foundation
Protecting children from violence and its devastating impact.
OUR VISION IS THAT EVERY CHILD WILL LIVE IN A SAFE AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT.
“The Foundation was set up in memory of Alannah and Madeline Mikac, aged six and three, who were tragically killed with their mother and 32 others at Port Arthur, Tasmania on 28 April 1996. We care for children who have experienced or witnessed serious violence. We also run programs that prevent violence and advocate for children’s safety and wellbeing.”
Children's Health Foundation
Research is expensive... but a child’s life is priceless.
“The Centre for Children’s Health Research at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital brings together a large group of experts in a collaborative working environment that is well-equipped to deliver medical and scientific breakthroughs. The outcomes of this collaboration will immediately benefit children and their families by ensuring these breakthroughs are taken from the laboratory directly to the child’s bedside.”
Carrie's Beanies for Brain Cancer
Carrie's Beanies for Brain Cancer aims to raise $1 Million for research.
“It is expected that approximately 1600 brain cancers will be diagnosed this year in Australia; that’s around 4 people every day being given this devastating news. Of those people, nearly 1300 will die. This means, when a person is told they have brain cancer, they must face the brutal fact that they are much more likely to die than survive. There is so much we need to learn about this disease and with research and funding these survival rates can be improved, we believe, dramatically.”
